THE FLOOD
Conceptual proof of concept developed as a playground for narrative direction and experimental level design using the AGLS framework. My focus was on synthesizing INSIDE inspired non-verbal storytelling with the surreal, oppressive atmosphere of Control.
I heavily experimented with post-processing to achieve a raw, 'ugly-beautiful' Kane & Lynch-inspired lo-fi aesthetic, translating high-intensity cinematic pacing into immersive environmental flow

I needed to unleash my creativity and couldn't stay idle for any longer after the recent layoff.
My goal was to try my best to check if my level design skills can work as a matrix for many different sub-specializations that I was always interested in: narrative design, level art and audio design.
I also wanted to step up my blueprint game.
I was craving a fresh, interesting portfolio piece that could effectively demonstrate my skills as a creative originator.
In about 2 months I was able to produce a piece, that I am extremely proud of— a mix of many polar opposites that ultimately formed what you can experience now.
All solutions came naturally and every issue with e.g. logic implementation or level streaming was quickly resolved in the matter of hours.
INSIDE, Control, Outlast, Manhunt, Kane & Lynch 2, and even a single episode of Jujutsu Kaisen inspired me to make my dream come true.
